While sharing some of the XPAN's with Freeman on the light table, I suggested jokingly that I might consider a book about Namaqualand using only the XPAN. Freeman suggest a title of "Namaqualand XPAN'ed" and laughed a hearty laugh! We wondered aloud how Hasselblad might feel about this silly title...
As I edited the many images, I struggled with what to do. Do I post only the "good" ones or do I include the more documentary and not so good? I decided to include both. After the overwhelming response to the first pages posted, I felt many wanted to know more about this marvelous land and some wanted to make a return visit to a place that captured a part of their soul as it did mine.
