I have been richly blessed to have been able to make this journey. I am grateful for the friends that I traveled with and thankful for the many new friends made. I am especially thankful for Freeman Patterson and Colla Swart who were more gracious than I could have imagined. They gave freely and inspired all to new levels both as photographers and human beings. I cherish the opportunity I had to photograph the beautiful children and wonderful people in the little village of Nourivier. I am forever changed by my experience there.
I went to South Africa not knowing what to expect and came home with my soul renewed and my spirit nourished. I hope these images express my gratitude and joy for the experience. I normally do not post this many images but how does one edit 76 rolls to a fair representation of this kind of journey. Here is the first batch so that some who have been anxious will be satisfied. I will be scaning the XPAN images shortly and then will work on the images from Nourivier. Until then....
